Who We Are
Katie Selis, AIA, LEED BD+C, Principal
Katie Selis is a registered architect in the District of Columbia and Virginia. Before founding Selis Studio Architecture, she worked as a project manager and later as a principal at Studio Twenty Seven Architecture in Washington, DC. Over her 15 years there, Katie's responsibilities encompassed a wide range of projects and client types, including multifamily residential developments, affordable housing, public charter schools, higher education facilities, and commercial tenant fit-outs. She played a pivotal role in many of the studio's large-scale projects, including Chapman Stables, The Aya, and the Howard University Miner Building.
Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, where she received the Faculty Award for Design Excellence, and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was honored with the Eisner Prize in Architecture for Highest Achievement in the Creative Arts.
